Staff are encouraged to nurture their own faith and understanding through opportunities such as further study in Religious Education and Theology, prayer and reflection, retreats, pilgrimages and other faith formation activities.
St Aloysius Catholic Primary School Cronulla is an authentic Catholic school, evidenced by strong and supportive relationships that exist between the school staff, parish priest, parents and students. We embrace, and put into practice the words of Pope Francis that say ‘education must focus on head, heart and hands’. Studies of the Scriptures and further education opportunities in Religious Education and Theology, as well as active social justice, are some of the ways our school nurtures the faith development of staff.
We believe that our Mercy values, inspired by Catherine McAuley, need not only to be explicitly taught and linked to the scriptures but also lived. We provide our students and staff with opportunities to enact and live these values in our school, in the local and broader global community.
