Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.

Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.

Learning and Achievement

Individual student goal setting is a feature of St Aloysius Catholic Primary School Cronulla, where students report on the progress towards their goals and to parents at the mid-term reporting time. Through goal setting, teachers have the opportunity not only to scaffold the stages of learning for students but also engage them in problem-solving, application and organisational life skills.

Students are active in the process, developing creative thinking, independence and responsibility. Every child at St Aloysius receives access to learning programs that specifically cater to their individual learning needs, particularly in Literacy and Numeracy.

St Aloysius is a tier three specialist STEM school. Students are specifically taught STEM skills from Kindergarten to Year 6. These skills will be the necessary building blocks to equip students for their future. Specialist teachers provide both extension and additional support for students with diverse learning needs, supporting them in achieving their goals and educational potential.
